Lenten Studies at St. Michael's
All are warmly welcome to St. Michael’s for the Lenten Adult Discussion Evenings starting Tuesday, February 16th at 7:00 pm upstairs in the church and every Tuesday, except March 16th, until March 30th. The topic for discussion is ‘They Like Jesus Not the Church’ the title of a book and DVD accompanying it by Dan Kimball. There is a participant’s guide. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear what young people think of the church, i.e. that it is judgmental and negative, to cause us to look at our own views and look at ways to respond. Registration is $10 by calling the Parish Office at 767-4711 or emailing: stmichaelsch@tbaytel.net. Cheques can be made out to St. Michael’s Anglican Church re. Lenten Study The Be-attitudes- Matthew 5 All are welcome to the weekly 10a.m. Thursday communion service. Throughout Lent from Thursday 18th February to Thursday 25th March the focus of the message will be on the Be-attitudes in Matthew 5 in which Jesus sets us for us the practices and attitudes of the Christian life. The reference book is entitled Christ Wisdom by the Rev'd Christopher Page. |
